About Little Lights Liverpool

In May 2025, a new charity was formed to take over Liverpool’s Zoe's Place Baby Hospice.

About Little Lights Liverpool

The hospice had been opened by Zoe’s Place in 1995 and was the first hospice in the UK specifically for babies and younger children.

As of 1st August 2026 the new charity is called Little Lights Liverpool Baby Hospice. Its purpose remains to ensure babies, children and families can access care and support when they need it most and that care and support continues to be provided by the same dedicated and committed team.

Our team of specialist nurses and healthcare assistants are supported by a wide range of other healthcare professionals to provide end of life care, respite care, therapies and bereavement care to babies and children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, and their families. We are building a state-of-the-art new facility in West Derby opening in March 2027.

Children's hospice care is an essential service.

£2 million must be raised every year to keep Little Lights' services running.

Every day, Little Lights Liverpool supports babies, children and families facing the toughest of journeys through specialist nursing, respite care, therapies, play and bereavement support.

Why It Matters

Children's hospices help families care for children with complex, life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, reducing pressure on health and social care services while improving quality of life for families.

Children's hospice care shouldn't depend on charity alone.

Little Lights relies on community fundraising, grant funding, corporate partnerships and individual supporters to provide specialist care for local families.

We're looking for people and organisations who can help secure a sustainable future for children's hospice care.
